Junior NHW
xx

Neighbourhood Watch Tweed Valley has for many years had an interest in the possibility of forming a School Watch program. April 2008 the first meetings commenced with NHW representatives, School Principal, and members of the local Police Force. The conclusion of these early meetings was to go ahead with the plan. The school that was chosen was Banora Point High with a student base of around six hundred. One of our main interests is to give a voice to the youth that live in the area.

It is planned that two students that are chosen by the Principal or teacher, attend our Combined NHW Group meetings, and discuss youth concerns, and where they see NHW can be supportive.

It is our intention during 2010 to be more pro active in this NHW initiative and seek a higher profile for School Watch.
