Kingscliff Central

Hello Neighbours,

Neighbourhood Watch is working towards a safer community attitude within your area.

It will help:
• reduce crime in your local area
• improve communication between yourself, police and your community
• deter criminal activity by increasing the probability of apprehension
• encourage the reporting of crime and suspicious activity to police
• improve the quality of information provided to police
• assist police to improve and maintain the level of personal safety and household security within your local area.

Good news, two new groups of Neighbourhood Watch have been formed recently, one at Banora Point West the second at Fingal Heads, both these groups have enthusiastic people who recognise the benefits of bonding the community, and working with police to make their area safer, especially during the hours of darkness, and weekends when most crime seems to take place.

Kingscliff High School has been targeted with a number of break and enters reported to police. We seem to be going through a tough time at the moment with general stealing and stealing from cars. Graffiti, seems on the decline but Malicious damage is rearing its ugly head again. Too many kids are still wandering the streets after dark and not all of them are late teens either. Be aware, the warmer weather will attract more people out of a night and if they look and sound suspicious, report the incident. Reports do NOT go unnoticed and if you can describe them and which way they are heading, this helps put the Police in the right direction in locating them.
