Chairmans Message

The Tweed can be proud that its network of Neighbourhood Watch groups are among the strongest in the State, with new groups being set up regularly and even a School Watch initiative with local students.

Neighbourhood Watch volunteers are the eyes and ears of the Police and thus play a very significant role in both in preventing crime and helping police with the identification of offenders. This is particularly important in the Tweed because, while our local policemen and women do a fantastic job, they are clearly short-staffed and under-resourced.

I encourage all Tweed residents to get involved with their local group, which can be contacted through our Coordinator, the hard-working Gordon Levenson. This need only take up a very small amount of your time, but you will make a real difference.
